• Payment information — billing details processed by our secure payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.
• Support communications — messages you send to [email protected], via WhatsApp or through the contact form.

• Usage data — pages visited, features used, session duration and subscription status.
• Device information — device type, operating system and IBO Player version.
• IP address — used for region detection, fraud prevention and service delivery.
• Cookies — session cookies for authentication and analytics cookies for service improvement (see section 6).

1.3 Information we do not collect

We do not collect sensitive personal data such as government identification numbers, biometric data, or financial account details beyond what payment processing requires.

2. How we use your information

• Deliver the Service — activate and manage your subscription, authenticate your device and stream content.
• Process payments — complete transactions and issue receipts.
• Provide support — answer inquiries, troubleshoot and resolve disputes.
• Improve the Service — analyze usage patterns to strengthen performance and the content offering.
• Send service communications — confirmations, reminders and important updates. We do not send unsolicited marketing email.
• Prevent fraud and abuse — detect unauthorized account sharing and misuse.
• Comply with legal obligations — respond to lawful requests from authorities in the United States.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Legal basis for processing

Where a legal basis is required by applicable law, ours is: contract performance (processing necessary to deliver your subscription), legitimate interests (fraud prevention, security and analytics), legal obligation (compliance with applicable law in the United States), and consent where we ask for it explicitly.

4. Data sharing

We share data only with payment processors (to complete transactions under their own privacy policies), infrastructure providers (hosting and CDN partners operating under data processing agreements), and legal authorities where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of HoomTV and its users. All processors are contractually barred from using your data for their own marketing.

5. Data retention

Once the retention period elapses, data is permanently deleted or irreversibly anonymized.

6. Cookies

Essential cookies are required for login sessions and core functionality and cannot be disabled. Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors navigate the site; you may opt out through your browser settings. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location and applicable law in the United States, you may have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, delete your data subject to legal retention requirements, restrict or object to certain processing, request data portability in a machine-readable format, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. To exercise any of these, write to [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.

8. Data security

We apply TLS/SSL encryption to all data in transit, encrypted storage for sensitive account information, access controls limiting who may view personal data, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure; in the event of a breach affecting your rights we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law in the United States requires.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13, or the applicable age of digital consent in the United States. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has supplied us with personal data, contact [email protected] and we will delete it promptly. Parents should also note the parental control features described in our setup guide.

10. International transfers

Your data is processed and stored in secure data centers. Where data is transferred outside the United States, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections.

11. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at https://hoomtv.com/privacy.html with a new "Last updated" date. For material changes we will notify you on WhatsApp or through a prominent notice on the site.
